What is a computer?
A computer is a machine used to process information that is stored as bits on the electronic device, known as a memory chip or hard disk.How does computer work?
Most of us have a vague idea of how computers work - these days it's basically things like turning electrical impulses into logical information. And then onto much magic stuff we can't understand. Or maybe you have to be a technical geek to understand. But is it really that complicated?

What is computer coding?
It is a branch of computer science which teaches you how to create computer software, specifically programming. Code is a series of steps, known as commands, in order to create computer programs.
How does code work?
In computer coding you need to create a program or design a computer algorithm, which, when executed, will run. Essentially code allows a computer program to run and make changes.
Just like a recipe is simply instructions on how to make a cake, computer coding is similar. This coding involves words and symbols that form a series of commands, which tells a computer to do things.
Sending a message in a bottle in the middle of the ocean
So basically the digital world is really just a description of how computers work. This makes the digital world of computers a very different world compared to the analog world.
When you speak to a phone, the electronic voice is just instructions that the phone takes and acts on. Whereas when you program a program for your PC it gives you instructions, which can be played back by a keyboard.
Again the codes that are sent between humans or computers are just a set of instructions. This sets up a series of steps in order to send a message in the middle of the ocean.
